ISIS Interview | STEP_UP NEWSLETTER: DECEMBER 2022

Q: Why did you initiate/join the STEP_UP project?

The development of learning games has become a special focus in the work of ISIS. The topic is important, and the game will unfold its benefits in getting prepared for future emergency situations.

Q: What did you like most thus far in the project? Why?

Most fun was the design of a neighbourhood initiative with its typical challenges and efforts to be taken. Solutions to problems are much easier to be implemented in a game than in real life which is quite satisfying for game developers.

Q: What is the most important thing you learned or take away from the project for you thus far? Why?

After the crisis is before the crisis. When we started to work on the STEP_UP game, we suspected that the problems may have been solved before we had finished the game.

Q: What are the next steps you will work on in the project?

Respond to the interest expressed for implementing the game in practice.
